Roland and Adolph Kruger of Wild Goose Winery Cool rain did nothing to dampen warm, cozy sentiments at the BC VQA‘s 20th Anniversary wine tasting last week at the Vancouver Convention Center. The event featured pioneers of BC wine who forged a new industry out of the orchards, and who brought old vintages from [...] In the sea of Okanagan wines, Stoneboat continues to steer a course of smooth vintages. Since visiting their modest Black Sage Bench tasting room two years ago, Stoneboat has become one of my favorite BC wineries. At a recent tasting at Taylorwood, I was once again blown away by the quality of their wines. [...] “While you’re waiting for your room, please have some breakfast in the serenity dining room.” That’s what we were told after we had checked into the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort, at Savusavu Bay on the big island of Vanua Levu.
